Open Gateway API Hackathon - Fundación Telefónica (Hosted at 42 Madrid Campus)

Fundación Telefónica

2025-05 – 2025-6

  • Participated in a 2-day intensive hackathon focused on leveraging Telefónica's Open Gateway APIs and exploring the use of MongoDB for potential AI-driven solutions.
  • Collaborated within a team to design a backend application concept for secure identification (KYC, SIM and device swap protection, device location and SIM number verifications) of customers and optimized connectivity (Quality-on-Demand API's).
  • Focused on contributing to the solution's architecture design and product presentation for the elevator pitch, however we did not pass the shortlist.
  • Gained practical insights into the importance of rapid ideation, effective product presentation, and creating impactful mockups within highly time-constrained development cycles.
  • I had the opportunity to learn from the well-documented API's by Open Gateway and to be mentored on the usage of MongoDB in a number of scenarios; my learning is still in progress and I'm considering earning a MongoDB certification in the near future.
